Is it bad?
That I’m jealous of my friends wedding and the fact that she is married? or is it the fact I’m just a sophomore in college and want to be married?
Racist?
“Some black leaders criticize Mr. Obama for not directly addressing young blacks or proposing policies specifically for them.” i read this in an article about a picture that is hung in President Obama’s office. It bothers me. I get that shit happened, but buy people saying things or asking for things, they put themselves (as a race/color of skin) above everything. I don’t get why women need special privileges. yes, pay vs work is a problem. but if we keep making rules, and laws, how free does that make us? if a group of black people can ask for something based on the color of their skin, aren’t they segregating themselves? if you know something is wrong, change your attitude and think of every one as a person, not as a race or ethnicity. We all want to be the best, so why cant we stand hand and hand no matter who it is? Because, frankly, I’m tired of it.
This past weekend I had the pleasure of being the Maid of Honor for one of my littles. She mentioned that she wanted to wear her Quill on the inside of her wedding dress so as to have her sisters close to her since she couldn’t invite them all to the wedding. A few sisters and I pitched in and got her a new jeweled Quill. We gave it to her once she was all dressed and was about to put on her original Quill. This is one of my favorite photos from the wedding, and I will keep it with me forever.
